HEALING THROUGH EXPERIENCE

We believe trauma heals through experience, not insight alone. Our modalities engage the mind, body and nervous system in the work of change.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an extensively researched therapy that helps the brain process traumatic or distressing experiences that continue to feel unresolved.

Using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or alternating taps, EMDR supports the brain’s natural capacity to integrate painful memories without requiring you to relive every detail.

As these experiences are processed, they can become less emotionally charged, creating space for relief, new perspectives and more adaptive ways of responding.

Art Therapy

Somatic Experiencing® is a body-oriented approach that works with the nervous system to address the effects of trauma and chronic stress.

Through gentle awareness of sensation, movement, internal experience and touch work, SE supports the gradual processing of activation without overwhelming the system.

This work builds greater capacity to be with emotion and experience while strengthening regulation, resilience and a sense of safety within the body.

Music Therapy

Art Therapy is a mental health profession that integrates art-making, the creative process and psychological theory within a therapeutic relationship.

Guided by the clinical framework of the Expressive Therapies Continuum, it engages sensorimotor, emotional, perceptual, cognitive and symbolic ways of processing experience.

Art Therapy offers a way to express what may be difficult to access through words alone while supporting self-awareness, emotional resilience and meaningful change.

Music Therapy is an established health profession that uses clinical and evidence-based music interventions within a therapeutic relationship.

Guided by a credentialed music therapist, experiences such as listening, songwriting, improvisation and active music-making are tailored to each person’s individual needs and goals.

Music Therapy can support emotional expression, regulation, communication and connection, offering a meaningful way to access experiences that words alone may not reach.

Adaptive Music Lessons

Adaptive music lessons modify traditional instruction to meet each student’s abilities, learning style and needs.

Individualized accommodations—such as visual supports, color-coded notation, adapted instruments and movement breaks—create an accessible environment for developing musical skills, confidence, communication and focus.
